Open Burning
|
“Open burning” within the Umatilla Indian Reservation is regulated by tribal ordinance and U.S. EPA Federal Air Rules for Indian Reservations. “Open burning” is defined as all outdoor burning, including, but not limited to the following:

- Burn barrels
- Yard debris
- Orchard trimmings
- Field burning
- Ditch burning
- Burning slash
- Construction burning
- Commercial
- Demolition materials
- Agriculture wastes
- Prescribed fires
- Slash burning
- Forest burning

If You Plan To Burn
- You must apply for and receive a valid burn
permit.
- You must adhere to CTUIR open burn and fire safety regulations.
- You can only burn on designated burn days.
